After just one Yoga class with Isaac Pena at Sankalpah Yoga, Adam realized the benefits of incorporating Yoga into exercise routines. 1.   Favorite place to meditate?
At home with 4 dogs in my lap.
        2.  How did you discover Yoga?
My kids' WiiFit had a Yoga program.
        3.  What have you given up that still tempts you?
Nothing really. If it tempts me I enjoy it in moderation.
        4.  Favorite type of food?
            Mexican, hands down!
        5. What or Who inspires you?
My husband who  loves me through my best and worst days

Tonee began her journey into yoga in 2008 after the devastating loss of her mother. She was drawn to the spiritual aspects that were helping her to begin to heal emotionally. Her first Yoga experience was in her living room with the WiiFit. She weighed almost 200 pounds and was embarrased to go to a group class.

After experiencing both the emotional benefits and the  physical benefits of losing over 40 lbs,  Tonee enrolled in a teacher training program to deepen her practice. After graduating from Aananda Yoga Teacher Training at Red Pearl in March 2011 she felt a pull to share with others what she had gained, and started a donation-based class on the beach.

During her study of yoga Tonee became very interested in the physical well-being of the body and embraced yoga as a lifestyle. She is now a vegetarian and is mindful of her choices in all aspects of her life. Her other interests include Reiki, receiving a level 1 certification in early 2012 and Aromatherapy, both of which she uses in her yoga classes.  Tonee's dedicated daily meditation practice helps to fortifiy her inner peace through stillness and silence. She continues to expand her practice and teaching by attending workshops and events as often as she can.

Tonee says: "Yoga has helped me to find my voice, to cultivate a heart of service and to find inner peace through the mind, body and spirit connection on and off the mat.
The most important work I can do in this life is the work I do to improve myself-truly being the change I wish to see in this world.

Her most recent exploration has been Liberation Breathwork work with her coach Denise Dobbs.(Denise is also our Lotus Pad Director and can be contacted via our Lotus Pad Therapists section). Tonee has found it to be a very deep and often painful, but eye-opening experience that has allowed her to tap into her own power, love and compassion on a whole new level.

Three of the things we love about Tonee are: Her authentic sharing, her big heart, and how in love she is with life.

        Yanni  De Melo

        1. Favorite place to meditate?
Anyplace I am(but I prefer outdoors, in nature)
        2. How did you discover Yoga?
          A very close friend.
        3. What have you given up that still tempts you?
Honestly, nothing. If I gave it up, it's because I am more complete without it.
        4. Favorite type of food?
          Watercress soup and Dal Makhani.
        5. What or Who inspires you?
Yoga, and my mentors, teachers and family.

Yanni grew up surrounded by spirituality and so it was no surprise that at the young age of 13 he completed Reiki Level 2 training.
Despite this influence, he later found himself in a place in life that urged him to shift his perspective into alignment with who he wanted to be and knew he was at his core. In order to support this quest he became a regular at a series of private gatherings that were centered around holistic healing and spirituality. The depth of knowledge and experience that he encountered with the people there gave him the clearing he needed to make this internal shift.

Once in college Yanni began to attend Yoga classes. In order to create a foundation of deeper knowledge than just the postures themselves, he enrolled in a 200 hour teacher training through I Love Yoga. Yanni continues to learn from his daily Yoga and Meditation practice and shares his enthusiasm for it with his students.
After trying many styles of Yoga resonates deeply with the Ashtanga Vinyasa system. He is excited to keep learning and is one of a select few chosen to study with Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldman in their one month Ashtanga intensive this November 2014.

Three of the many things we love about Yanni are: the way he lights up a room, his creativity and that smile!

Yanni is also an innovative photographer creating hauntingly lovely, dream-like images that reflect his passion for life and his appreciation for beauty in all things. Check out his work at www.yannidemelophotography.com

Best said by Yanni about his artistic vison:

"I have an impeccable passion for viewing the world in a charismatic and spiritual point of view. I specialize in creative portraits, flyers/posters/banners, commercial, editorial, events, nature, musicians, and many more. I enjoy challenging myself with new tasks and meeting people from all over the world.

Also being a Yoga teacher, I find that the practice of Yoga allows the senses to be more receptive to ideas and creation. It’s nice to balance out the two, both Yoga and Photography. It’s as if a channel is opened, and the balance is manifesting into a deep vortex. "

Kate found yoga through a life-long love of dance and movement. Every one of her classes are unique. The classes develop organically, depending on the students needs, experience level, and overall energy of the group. Kate uses inspiring music and creative playlists to help move the practice through a seamless, graceful flow. She is constantly learning and absorbing yoga from workshops, nationally recognized teachers, students, and self-practice. Her teacher training certification from The Yoga Center of Deerfield Beach influenced her attention to proper alignment and truly honoring your own body. Yoga had the power to transform Kate's life and beliefs and sharing yoga has become one of her greatest joys.
Kate also has a degree in finance from the University of Florida and has helped us out with many a spreadsheet!
