After several years of study and teaching the Astanga Vinyasa system Lisa expanded her knowledge by earning her certification from the Hatha Pradipika Research Institute. She is registered teacher with Yoga Alliance. Lisa co-founded and coordinates the Aananda Yoga Teacher Training Program.
While training for a marathon in 2010, Lisa was involved in a car accident that left her with chronic neck and shoulder pain. After months of doctors and chiropractor treatments she was still feeling the negative effects of the trauma. While looking for alternative options to treat her pain,Lisa tried Yoga. What began as a way to manage her pain quickly blossomed into a regular practice. Within 6 months of practicing Lisa found not only a reduction in her pain, but a marked increase in her physical strength. What she was even more suprised about was the grounding and purposeful experience that Yoga turned out to be. After 8 months of rigourous practice, Lisa was introduced to Ashtanga. Minnar was born in Mexico City and for the first 20 years of his life he was involved in a great deal of athletic activities, many of them in a competitive level. Now, he has been a student of yoga for almost 10 years, and for the last seven he has been completely dedicated to the practice of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
First, he took therapeutic & restorative yoga classes due to having suffered a major accident, and soon after his body started to respond he shifted to more physical types of yoga following a natural inclination towards challenging and demanding practices.
Finally finding Ashtanga and his teacher in 2008, he became an avid practitioner and spreader of that method.
He's traveled all over the world learning from many of the best students the system, and Hatha Yoga in general, has offered. Including prolonged journeys in the US, Europe and India.
Hoping to one day emulate those who have helped him heal his body and achieve many goals in his personal practice, he incorporates various different tools into his teaching method always respecting the traditional ways of Ashtanga just as he learned them.
For the last couple of years he has visited a lot of different places sharing his passion with a great number of people.
Now, after covering most of the territory in his country, he has started to visit several places in the US, Europe and South America so he can continue to spread his love for the method, his admiration for the practice, and an intention of togetherness amongst all yoga practitioners.

Tonee began her journey into yoga in 2008 after the devastating loss of her mother. She was drawn to the spiritual aspects that were helping her to begin to heal emotionally. Her first Yoga experience was in her living room with the WiiFit. She weighed almost 200 pounds and was embarrased to go to a group class.
After experiencing both the emotional benefits and the physical benefits of losing over 40 lbs, Tonee enrolled in a teacher training program to deepen her practice. After graduating from Aananda Yoga Teacher Training at Red Pearl in March 2011 she felt a pull to share with others what she had gained, and started a donation-based class on the beach.
During her study of yoga Tonee became very interested in the physical well-being of the body and embraced yoga as a lifestyle. She is now a vegetarian and is mindful of her choices in all aspects of her life. Her other interests include Reiki, receiving a level 1 certification in early 2012 and Aromatherapy, both of which she uses in her yoga classes. Tonee's dedicated daily meditation practice helps to fortifiy her inner peace through stillness and silence. She continues to expand her practice and teaching by attending workshops and events as often as she can.
Tonee says: "Yoga has helped me to find my voice, to cultivate a heart of service and to find inner peace through the mind, body and spirit connection on and off the mat. The most important work I can do in this life is the work I do to improve myself-truly being the change I wish to see in this world."
Her most recent exploration has been Liberation Breathwork work with her coach Denise Dobbs.(Denise is also our Lotus Pad Director and can be contacted via our Lotus Pad Therapists section). Tonee has found it to be a very deep and often painful, but eye-opening experience that has allowed her to tap into her own power, love and compassion on a whole new level.
Three of the things we love about Tonee are: Her authentic sharing, her big heart, and how in love she is with life.
