This Aananda Yoga training embarks you on a profound journey of self - discovery; empowers you to become the best person you can be; offers a holistic, well rounded, comprehensive training. It is upon this foundation that you will begin teach the ancient art & healing practice of Yoga in a creative form drawing from your personal practice of gentle yoga to power vinyasa yoga.
You do not need to have the desire to become a Yoga teacher to participate. All levels welcome!!!

* As of June 5th, 2014, both trainings are half full. We only take small groups of 16 participants in each training.
*The weekEND only training we will have some additional Saturdays off as well as the holidays weekends. And weekDAY only training will have holiday and holiday weekends off.
*Payment plan is at least a $400 deposit when you submit your forms and then 3 equal amount payments on Nov 1st, Dec 1st & Jan 1st. There is not extra cost for this unless you are past due of any amount on Jan 2nd. Then each week will be a $25 late charge plus the late amount.
*The two trainings we are offer are flexible so if you miss a class or simply want to take it again, you may jump in on the other training.
*You are allowed to miss up to 9 classes and not have to make them up. You must attend 80% of the training in order to graduate.
* We encourage our alumni to come back to our core classes in future classes as refresher, missed classes or just missing their teachers. :)
*Our core training is based on practices from the Krishnamacharya lineage (Jois, Iyengar, Desikachar, Devi), and guidelines for postures are under the linage as well as more recent insights of functional anatomy, bio-mechanics and kinesiology.
* In addition to our core hatha program, we offer insightful master classes with invited guest teachers in styles such as, Thai, Yin/Yang, Restorative or Yin, Kundalini, Ashtanga, Kids and more...
* Guest teachers vary due to schedules. Some teachers include Diane Billig(Cookie), Aaron Erickson, Paty Wallace, Nipa Dooshi, Julian Hall, Suzanne Weintraub, Jessica Lohrey and more...
* Students must purchase 3 books that are listed in the forms. Printed cost total around $50 / ebooks around $20.
* Students may bring a computer to classes.
*We encourage students to draw from their personal practices that may be a hatha style such as either a power/vinyasa flow, a gentle/general hatha or restorative and in temperatures that suits your body from 70 degrees to 100 degrees...
*Red Pearl is a fresh air studio for prana/energy flow with a comfortable temperature around 78 degrees. There are times when it may be 70 and then 85 -95 depending on type of practice, outside temperature, and collective energies in the room.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS-
What if I miss some classes?
Our school requires 80% attendance and 100% commitment on your part. All Red Pearl Yoga Aananda alumni are welcome back at any time to take any missed classes from our core program classes or to take any refresher core classes that were in their training group.
** A small charge will apply to any newly added classes or master classes that trainees have been invited to.
What if I am new to yoga?
This is a foundational course designed for everyone; no matter what level, age, or intensity of postures. We teach students to draw from a personal practice which maybe a gentle hatha or power vinyasa style.
Will I be certified as a Yoga Teacher after this course?
Yes. You will be certified as a Yoga Teacher at the completion of this course by Aananda, Inc. You may mail a copy of the certificate to Yoga Alliance to register with them. The Yoga Alliance card will give you the title of “Registered Yoga Teacher.”
What is the material that will be covered during the program and how is it presented?
This teacher training program is based on the requirements of Yoga Alliance as well as Swami Svatmarama’s Hatha Yoga Pradipika. The students learn the four aspects of Hatha Yoga: beginner, intermediate and some advanced postures, basic kriyas, foundational breathing exercises, foundational bandhas & mudras and meditation.
Along with that students learn the basics of writing, reading, and pronouncing Sanskrit language, Ayurveda, intro to the Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita. Teaching methodology of cueing, class planning & sequencing, observation, assisting and adjusting. Students will also be invited to attend master classes to give insight and understanding of some the popular yoga styles of today such as: Ashtanga, Kundalini, Sivananda, Yin/Yang, Restortaive, Yin, Partner Yoga, Kids Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Iyengar, Thai Yoga, and more*
*Only 5 master classes of popular styles are selected based off teachers/style availability in each training.
