Take your practice to the next level and join Adam Bator this month as he guides us through a creative and playful class chock full of arm balances and handstands.
This fun and challenging class is geared toward intermediate and advanced students who are looking for something more in depth than an all levels vinyasa and less sturctured than the Ashtanga series.
You may also sign up with payment at our front desk.
(RPY members with valid class card get a $5 credit when you check in to this special class; You can use it toward classes or merchandise at Red Pearl)
Adam is a Certified Yoga Teacher, an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, an NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist and a Functional Movement Screen Certified Specialist. It was his own chronic back pain at age 20 that lead Adam to explore what it would take to heal his back. After exhausting all conventional resources, Adam found One Human Performance Center in Pine Brook, NJ. The founder, Eric D’Agati, worked with Adam, focusing on corrective exercise and pain management. The relief Adam felt was suprisingly quick and it sparked a passion within him to help others. Adam enrolled in the National Academy of Sports Medicine and was certified as a personal trainer. He continued his education as a trainer at the One Human Performance Center
After just one Yoga class with Isaac Pena at Sankalpah Yoga, Adam realized the benefits of incorporating Yoga into exercise routines. Adam enrolled in Teacher Training with the Sankalpah College of Yoga in New York City, where he earned his Yoga teacher certification and has been teaching Yoga ever since.
Adam instructs a free-style type of Vinyasa Flow creating physically and mentally challenging routines that flow smoothly from one asana to the next. His hands-on approach and unpredictable routines promote students to simultaneously focus on form, breath, and endurance, resulting in classes that help create a calming and meditative effect for the mind and body.
He also instructs our Yin Yoga classes, giving students time to enter the postures safely and completely, making sure the right support is given with props, verbal cues and hands on.

About Deb: After having an emotional breakthrough in a restorative yoga class at Red Pearl Yoga, Deb began to explore how yoga might serve as a coping and healing mechanism for past traumas. This led to a more regular practice and in 2008 Deb completed her first Yoga 200hr RYT with Yoga Fox Vinyasa at Red Pearl Yoga. Red Pearl Owner, Karen Gavrilov became her personal and profesional mentor and gave Deb her first teaching opportunity.
Since her first glimpse of the peace she might find through yoga, Deb has dedicated her time to exploring a yogic path by imersing herself with a variety of yoga styles and master teachers including; Edward Clark with Tripsichore Yoga Theatre, Ricky Tran, Doug Keller and Terri Cooper with Yoga Gansters. In 2011 Deborah was honored to produce a tour for Tripsichore Yoga Theatre and went on to complete a 160hr Tripsichore Intensive in London.
In 2012 she relocated to manage the regional sales team at MINDBODY Online in East Hampton, NY and began to study regularly with Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee at Colleen's Sag Harbor, NY studio Yoga Shanti. Under their tutialage she's completed a 300hr RYT, 100hr Advanced Teacher Training, assisted mentoring in their teacher trainining programs and assists them with public events such as Yoga Journal and Solstice in Time Square. Rodney and Colleen have challenged her to find equanimity and containment in her practice and teaching.
To date, Deb has over 1000 hrs of yogic studies and believes "to teach, one must continue to study." Deb has a knack for teaching truly for all levels with a fun loving style and a focus on finding YOUR practice. She loves to look at a task that seems impossible and deconstruct it till there is some aspect that is accessible to practice, any amount. Just ask Karen G how we did our expansion at Red Pearl Yoga!(Deb was our project manager)
